To this end we've developed an environmental plan and welcome your support for this initiative.

Our plan includes:

• choosing Meridian who supply NZ's only Certified Carbon Neutral Electricity
• using energy-efficient lighting, skylights and hot water systems
• recycling paper, newspapers, cardboard, cans and plastics
• composting permissible foods and materials
• using natural and non-chemical cleaning products
• installing water-reducing devices
• offering guests the option not to change linens and towels daily *
• washing in cool water and drying by solar energy
• using large-size dispensers for essential oil lavender toiletries
• preferring local producers and suppliers
• having a green purchasing policy
• conserving water through less irrigation and mulching
• avoiding the use of pesticides and fertilizers
• involving ourselves in community, conservation and cultural groups
